Arman Esmaili Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

My path to becoming a psychotherapist has been shaped by a life of cultural experiences, personal growth, and my own journey of healing. Originally from the Middle East and having spent many years living in Canada and South America, I have experienced firsthand the ways that culture, relationships, life transitions, and our sense of identity can shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world.
My own experiences have led me to spend considerable time exploring the deeper patterns that influence how we think, feel, relate to others, and make choices in our lives. Through my own journey of self-discovery and healing, I came to recognize how meaningful it can be to have a space where we are truly seen, understood, and supported without judgment.

How I Can Help

You may be seeking therapy because something in your life no longer feels right or perhaps acceptable. Perhaps you’re struggling with anxiety, relationships, past experiences, self-doubt, or simply feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, unpack difficult experiences and begin creating meaningful change.
I work with individuals and couples experiencing a range of emotional and interpersonal challenges, including:

Trauma & Emotional Healing

Exploring how difficult and painful experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to our internal/external environment. Together, we can work toward understanding these deeper patterns and creating healthier ways of moving forward.

Anxiety, Stress & Emotional Overwhelm

Understanding the underlying sources of anxiety and stress while developing greater emotional awareness and healthier ways of coping.

Relationships & Boundaries

Exploring relationship patterns, communication, boundaries, attachment, and the ways past experiences can influence our choices when it comes to relationships or connections.

Self-Esteem & Identity

Developing a deeper understanding of yourself, building authentic self-worth, and exploring questions around identity, authenticity, and living a life more of greater alignment and congruence with your core values.

Unhelpful Patterns & Behaviors

Exploring recurring emotional and behavioral patterns that may be affecting your relationships, work, or overall functioning in a variety of different areas.

Addiction & Problematic Coping

Exploring the emotional needs and underlying patterns that contribute to substance use or other behaviors that have become difficult to control, while developing healthier alternatives that can support greater long-term well-being.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which emphasizes developing a deeper understanding of the experiences, emotions, and relationship patterns that shape how we see ourselves and relate to our environment. I also integrate Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and existential perspectives depending on your individual needs and goals.
Rather than approaching therapy with a one-size-fits-all formula, I tailor our work taking into account the full individual including cultural and religious beliefs. My goal is not simply to help you manage what is happening on the surface, but to help you develop greater self-awareness and understanding which can help you live with more congruence and authenticity.
